How to help

Like we said on the previous page, it seems to us that there are 2 ways to get this mission going.
We’ll start by going through the first option and what you can do to help tackle this:

1- There is a fundamental shift in people's opinion and attitude towards space exploration, to the extent that there is a clear demand for a mission to Mars, enough for politicians to see it as a popular policy, and even for businesses to sponsor.

Anyone can help with this point. All it takes is talking about it with your friends and family. By explaining the benefits of space exploration, especially ambitious missions like Mars To Stay, you can help bring the idea into the mainstream, and create discussion on it. If you put enthusiasm into the mix, and get your friends and family interested and excited about the idea, that’s another bonus. If you can get enough people involved, you could also help by lobbying and petitioning politicians in your area to help raise the issue in government. The main aim is to help create awareness and excitement within the general public and the media about a national goal to put humans on Mars, so if you have any ideas or opportunities to help achieve this, then please take action, that is all we can ask for.

In terms of helping to tackle the second option:

2- A high ranking politician or an extremely wealthy individual is passionate about it and wants to see it get done. In which case, they have the influence/finances to lobby other people in similar positions, and would see that either a government and/or private mission was put in place.

This is a little trickier, and can only really happen if someone in a powerful position has their own initiative and passion to put humans on Mars. While there is no direct way to help with this point (unless you are or know someone in this sort of position), assisting with the first option can only help in bringing these ideas into the minds of these people.
